About the role

This role is responsible to provide MM functional leadership to tesa Haiphong organization. The incumbent is a member of the Plant Management Team.

Responsible to manage all supply chain activities

Main target is to optimize service and inventory levels as well as costs

Responsible for production scheduling, raw material planning as well as customer service

Responsible for warehouse management and EXIM

Develop a well-functioning team and play an active role in the Plant Management Team

What you will do


  • Prepare and control the raw materials replenishment according to forecast and supplier lead time; Maintain and manage the raw materials safety stock always at target level.
  • Prepare, control and optimize the production schedule depending on customer   requirements, delivery forecast, WIP stock target and service level;
  • Analyse production mix, lot size, complexity periodically and timely to optimize the production schedules and customer satisfaction.
  • To ensure the delivery service (quality; quantity; delivery date) for all customers.
  • Shortage management. Troubleshooting problems regarding raw materials, WIP and FG shortage for order fulfilment.
  • To ensure the supply chain continues improvement process.

 Warehouse management

  • Ensure safety operations in Warehouse, and make sure workplace’s health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.
  • Establish proper procedures in recording, physical handling, inspection, storage and issuance of materials, and when necessary proper disposal of slow moving and obsolete materials.
  • To ensure inventory accuracy is up to 100% through efficient warehousing processes, proper controls and good housekeeping e.g. conducting regular cycle stock count etc.
  • Regular review of stock movement, shelf life and ensure practices of first-in-first-out in materials issuance. 
  • Ensure a compliant hazardous waste disposal process.

Import and Export

  • Ensure all import and export activities 100% comply with local law and regulations.
  • Guide daily import & export to ensure the operation smoothly.
  • Monitor forwarder performance and give timely feedback to regional team as input for next round tender process.
  • Manage local broker to ensure a smooth import and export process

Performance & Talent Management

  • Establish a plan to identify, develop, direct, encourage and motivate subordinates in the department to achieve the company’s overall objectives.
  • Setting, communicating and monitoring department and individual performance targets
  • Conducting performance reviews and interviews.
  • Secure subordinate succession and backup planning.

What you will need

Educational qualifications

Relevant experience

  • 10 years of relevant experience including 3-5 years leadership experience in Global multinational company
  • Experience with starting up a new organization

Personal characteristics & behaviour

  • Strong motivation to learn, have ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and communicational skills
  • Able to work under pressure and take ownership
  • Proficient Computer skills including MS Word, Excel; Power Point
  • Excellent command of English
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
