Marketing & Sales Process Leader

About the role

The Marketing & Sales Process Leader is to create and design the tesa China marketing & sales process (MSP) strategy, lead the team to drive and optimize the leads to projects process implementation in Greater China to support the marketing excellence and business growth.  

What you will do

  • Deeply understand the regional short-term to long-term business strategy, devel-op and implement the tesa China marketing & sales process strategy to support the business growth and process optimization
  • Deeply understand the global marketing & sales process strategy, ensure re-gional related policy, process and practice to keep alignment with global MSP strategy
  • Initiate and develop the programs related to the tools and processes that aim on improving efficiency of marketing & sales teams and sales activities.
  • Lead the team to execute and implement the activities and program to achieve regional MSP goals and objectives
  • Drive and support analysis of strengths and weak points of current business, identifies improvement areas and supports coordinated target setting across functions
  • Lead the team to establish the CRM & leads management related policy, process and guideline in Greater China
  • Lead the team to analyze the marketing & sales related data impact regularly, take data-based initiatives to improve the processes, policy and procedure continuously
  • Utilize data and information available to monitor and assess performance, analyze, and propose marketing & sales strategy to corporate and business
  • Set-up, coordinate, and ensure implementation of comprehensive business improvement programs
  • Actively network with all levels of the stakeholders across region to help influence, learn, attain and sustain advocates for the MSP strategy and vision. Establish and maintain a strong cross functional MSP network with commercial, finance, supply chain, production, IT and other stakeholders
  • Actively support other regions with Greater China best practice based on region’s pull and request
  • Lead the team to develop the MSP related training and deliver to target audiences
  • Actively support other regions with best practice based on region’s pull and re-quest
  • Actively coordinates a regular network exchange with those regions
  • Work closely with Digital, Information & Technology team to defines the process and digitalization together
  • Develop critical measurement categories, specific metrics and outputs aligned to business requirements (Sales performance measurement, Funnel data, sales analysis/reporting/dashboards, KPI’s)
  • Champion the business intelligence by generating the insights from multiple sources of data/information to drive the efficient and effective commercial opera-tions
  • Develop tools and dashboard to enhance data-driven business management
  • As the team leader to establish, develop and manage the tesa China MSP team to achieve the annual goal & objectives
  • Set-up the annual KPIs to the team and engage all of the team members to work for the results to achieve the good performance at the end of the year
  • Develop teams by offering coaching and mentoring, motivate team members to keep passion to the work.
  • Cooperate with the key stakeholders to design and set-up the career roadmap of distributor management, and implement for the internal talent development
  • Identify the team talents with clear definition of the advantages and talent gaps, generate and implement the talent development plan
  • Lead the team culture evolvement, develop the team culture based on the tesa People Value.

What you will need

  • Bachelor degree and above, major in Marketing or Business Administration related will be a plus
  • Additional Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) will be preferred
  • Min 10 years working experience in marketing or sales relevant, chemical industry working experience will be preferred
  • At least 5 years team management experience
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications required (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), experience with SAP is a plus
  • Strong understanding of business-to-business marketing and certain level of technical understanding needed
  • Excellent speech and structured presentation skills, capability to communicate, cooperate and influence across departments and regions
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder management and cross-culture communication
  • Good leadership skill to manage, coach and develop subordinates
  • Excellent problem solving skills, can lead the team to identify a variety of com-plex problems and present clearly, analyze the root reason with good analytical skills and business acumen, and can coach team members to solve the difficult and complex problems
  • Highly self-motivating, open minded and diligent attitude
  • Excellent English communication skill in written and oral, good sense for cross-culture communication
  • Good project management skills, PMP/ACP certification will be a plus
  • Business travel is needed, should be flexible to travel regularly
