Logistics Operator 1

The Logistics Operator is responsible to perform all functions of the warehouse, including but not limited to: receiving, moving and storing of material and shipment of products to our customers. He/she is responsible to consistently comply with all safety, environmental and quality standards. He/she will be required to assist in other areas, such as but not limited to clerical functions, sample area, small parcel shipments (e.g. UPS, FedEx).

Key Responsibilities
Load and unload product/material in a safe and efficient manner.
Check and count incoming products and deliver to appropriate location.
Check and count outgoing products, includes picking orders; staging; and properly palletizing of product.
Move product to appropriate storage area; replenish picking zones; and other misc movement of product.
Capable of earning and maintaining a stand-up and sit-down powered forklift license.
Operate all equipment safely and efficiently.
Able to use the computer systems to obtain necessary information to perform assignments.
Maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area.
Follow all company procedures and policies.
Work any hours as required, including overtime
Must be able to work at either facility
Work in a team concept; self-motivated; able and willing to be cross-functional.

Additional Responsibilities
Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and repackaging as needed.
Perform appropriate duties in the sample area, small parcel shipment area and any other areas as required in either facility. 
Assist in the production area at Sparta facility
Charge forklift batteries as assigned.
Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory
Clean trailers and truck bays
Perform other miscellaneous duties.
Assist in any clerical function such as, but not limited to, data entry, filing and answering the phone.
Train new/transferred employees.

Minimum Required Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent, with basic math and computer skills.
Must be able to read and speak English.  Must be able to count accurately, use a calculator and write legibly.  Must be able to think/convert to metric measurements with training.
Prefer powered forklift experience.
Ability to follow directions and function as a team member with a positive   attitude.
Must be able to lift up to 50#, stand and walk up to 95% of scheduled shift.
Must have correctable vision and hearing.
Must be able to work within the framework of 5S, ISO and TS requirements
Hours: any as required, including overtime, in either facility.
