You will be responsible for the development and implementation of application-systems for automated adhesive tape applications at tesa
You support our sales team and customers with technical concept development, prototype development and respective solutions of application devices (manual/fully automated) to meet customer demands
You will be the project manager/coordinator between tesa, industrial customers and mechanical engineering partners in critical phases leading to the realization of tape automation
With your flair for trends, you're always up to date and become the expert in automated tape application
You will visit customer’s design center to identify requests for new tool developments
With your hands-on mentality, you verify technical concepts from first drafting up to full prototype development application devices
You will create the requirement profile and implementation for a new process-oriented supporting solution such as tools (manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic) or process sequence improvements
You are responsible for benchmarking technology and competition in the defined focus field and provide input to Product -, Technology Development and the Marketing team
You will support our customers with the implementation of their Industry 4.0 strategy
Part of your job will be creating and implementing internal and external training courses on adhesive tape application systems and technical trainings
Up to 50% travel activities is within your comfort zone
What you will need
Technical engineering background with a master's or bachelor's degree, preferably mechanical engineering with at least 3 years of professional experience in product development or process engineering
Experience in Business development, sales-related experience, and/or technical sales experience are desired
You are familiar in dealing with customers and handle customer projects professionally
You are able to take the customer's perspective and manage to align it with tesa's expectations
You are able to combine analytical and conceptional competence with creative thinking approaches
You've gained at least 3 years of experience in technical project work with external partners, preferably also in an international environment
Business fluent in German and English, and if possible another foreign language
Knowledge of robot control, sensor technology and in the area of electronic components (e.g. switch cabinet construction, construction of parts and mechanical components)
You are familiar with CAS software; experiences in 3D design and sound knowledge is a plus
High flexibility, resilience (traveling) and open-minded for new things
