Sr. R&D Engineer

• Set-up of QA test method and equipment (at tesa / at contract manufacturer)
• Establish sources of 3rd party product supply including supplier capability review and evaluation. Qualification of alternative suppliers in order to guarantee supply security
• Establish sample and pre-production inspection procedures including joint quality planning with suppliers
• Being knowledgeable in and continuously apply tesa and external standard test method. Develop new test methods
• Analysis of test results and preparation of reports with recommendations and conclusions
• Preparation of specifications and other technical documentations so that prototype designs can be manufactured and assembled
• Being a project leader/member to ensure good project management of all technical aspects allowing timescales to be set and progress to be monitored closely

• Master degree with over 3 years in Material Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or other relevant fields or bachelor degree with over 7 years job experience are preferred
• Job experience in related industries such as coatings, adhesive, tape, paper, plastic films/foam development are preferred
• Process engineering experience is preferred
• Good work attitude and willingness to learn from and with one another; being open minded
• Analytical skill to question validity of test results
• Strong communication skills with colleagues globally and suppliers
• Willing to travel
