About the role

This position is hired as Process Engineer to support current tSH operation and new product development. The process engineer will be designated contact person for relevant process and quality questions. He/she will be required to setup machine parameter, work instructions (WI) and standard operating procedures (SOP), analyze process chain with regards to benchmark figures, come up with process improvement proposal, lead and implements product transfer projects to run new or existing products on the machines and units. All actions in compliance to local and tesa regulations/standards. 

What you will do

  • Participate to new products development and scale up by conducting production trials in tSH production line. Reports of trial finding, recommendations and improvement plans are expected.
  • He/she will be key responsible engineer for attending Pre-trial, Jour FiX, Project meeting.
  • This person will need to communicate with Marketing, RD/PMM, QA, MM, Production and Technical department for assortment and process related topic.  Process engineer is the owner for new product launch production concept.
  • Provide technical knowledge and apply problem solving skills to process/quality/EHS related issues
  • Responsible for tape assortment daily operation in case there are abnormal situation reported by Production and QA, process engineer is responsible to conduct investigation, data collection, trials to verify root cause and ensure preventive actions are properly implemented.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor

What you will need

Educational qualifications

Bachelor or above education in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material or related subjects

Relevant experience

  • Minimum over 2-year process experience
  • Experience in process development, scale up, product transfer, best by converting technology for Roll-to-Roll processes, like web coating, drying, mixing, slitting, winding, CCD camera imaging, surface treatment
  • Basic knowledge of thermodynamics, adhesion and cohesion, polymer solution and rheologic behavior of viscos liquids
  • Know general knowledge of quality tools, like 8D, statistics, FMEA, Pareto analysis, Minitab, etc.
  • Knowledge of Design of Experiment, such as Mode or Design Expert.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic EHS knowledge,
  • Good computer skill, e.g. Microsoft office,
  • Good English (spoken and written)
